How often do you conduct a web search? I know I search for something at least every hour. Although I’m satisfied with the results most of the time, I can’t help but wonder if the results are updated. We all know that most of the search engines use cached pages to speed up the search results and that these cached pages can expire because of the crawling algorithms that make the spiders crawl more often high traffic pages leaving the smaller websites unindexed.

A new player on the market launches a search service with a twist. LeapFish comes with a new way to search: Real-Time and Multimedia search. This means that the results of every search we make will generate real-time search results, eliminating the inconsistencies in the results pages. This promises to be a serious competitor for the existing search giants, though details of features were not yet released.

I personally hope that this new service will be as objective as possible with the results it provides unlike Bing, for instance, which protects microsoft’s products, making it’s results unreliable. I also hope that it will have a more natural, human way of handling the requests. I mean if you type in “what’s opposite to light” it should return “dark” of “night” or “shade”.
